Evolution spawned life from the depths of the oceans and thrust it out of seas and on to dry land, from that humans evolved, spent an aged getting smart, then worked out they should get into industrialism and start destroying the earth. So far so good, then along came the wise people at google, who just want to document everything and be the best library on earth. Yet again, good job. Not being content with just that, and making millions from advertising, they thought outside of the box and saw the box; earth as we call is now also being documented, first our cities then the fields and shortly after that our cities again, but this time at street level.
Where we as humanity have failed, is the lack of understanding of the biggest space on our planet, which is largely uncharted. Welcome to Google’s next big project… Oceans!!! Amazing. I’m not sure of the point of it all, it’s not as if I live there! but what the heck, I bet you I’ll spend a good few hours on it as soon as they launch the beta version. Will it make money? who cares, it’s Google, they make enough money as it is, plus I bet you they will find away to Monetise it.
Wonder when they will think outside of the wrapping paper and go out of this world, literally!
