We have 3 cars in our household and over the course of 2 days we realised that all the remote locking wasn’t working on any of them! We tried all the different keys we had for each car, but nothing. batteries even seemed ok.
Then we realised that the recent HQ 5.8GHz Video Sender Kit we had bought when switched off didn’t stop our remote locking from working! Problem solved.
The reason we bought this particular model was that it boasted:
Many households have products that operate on the 2.4GHz frequency such as Wi-Fi, cordless phones and microwaves to name a few, so by using 5.8GHz you will experience interference free viewing.
How brilliant is that! but little did we know that it would be so powerful that it would leave our cars defenseless. One of our cars that wasn’t working was parked a good 10 meters from the house as well. I do hope the neighbours didn’t notice.
My advice is if you’ve got a car that older than 10 years old go for it, otherwise steer clear. What’s wrong with wires anyway?
