It’s been rumoured that iPhone 3.0 will have TV and Film Direct Downloads straight to the iPhone, similar to the iTunes desktop service.

This news comes from Open Salon, where you can see screenshots of the iTunes iPhone app going through the motions of trying to download a movie.

We at Sporkings are very interested in iPhone app development and as such have iPhone 3.0 already running, we noticed a user on Open Salon mentioning that if you click this link http://bit.ly/2iJLx9 you’ll get to see the screenshots, however we can confirm that this does not work. Apple must have cottoned on.

It’s not known yet if you’ll be able to download over 3G, but the fact that you won’t have to plug your iPhone in to your mac/pc to get your purchased movies/series’ anymore is great news.
