Ever since the iPad was launched a couple of weeks ago – there’s been no shortage of fans who’ve fallen in ‘love at first sight’ with Apple’s latest gadget. The iPad has evoked mixed reactions from all over the world – if there are plenty of fans and admirers, there’s also no shortage of critics and people who’ve questioned iPad’s usability aspects.
The latest to join the iPad Critics Brigade is the world’s richest technology barren – Bill Gates. According to Gates, the iPad will struggle due to the absence of a pen and a keyboard. While Gates admits that he envies Apple and Steve Jobs for iPhone, he does not think that the iPad will be a game changer in ‘touch and digital reading’. While he acknowledges that it’s a nice reader, the iPad is not something that would make him wish that Microsoft had done it first.
Coming from a man who does ‘business @ speed of thought’, these are strong words and perhaps another indication that there’s no love lost between Windows and Mac – the two biggest selling operating systems.
