This may come as no shock to you, but Apple have announced today that the International launch of the iPad will be put on hold for another month. Meaning we’ll be receiving the iPad a full 2 months after it’s US debut.
Not even a week ago, during a Q&A session after Apple’s iPhone OS 4.0 announcement Steve was asked “Will iPad’s success impact its international launch?” to which he responded with a definitive “No, we said we’re launching internationally later in April, and we’re launching later in April.”
International prices will be announced on May 10th, along with the arrival of pre-orders. We suspect a price-bump of at least £100 above US prices – something we’ve come to expect from Apple over the years.
[Update] iPad UK Networks Announced: The iPad will be released in the UK on Orange, Vodafone and O2. Price plans will be released towards to the end of May.
