Apple may not have thought that launching its Tablet PC iPad in UK along with its US was a good idea, Dell apparently does not agree with this as it is launching a direct competitor to iPad (if you overlook the size) , its 5-inch tablet PC labeled Streak -formerly Mini 5 – in UK in June, which will be followed by rest of Europe launch, and then hit US stores later this summer.Streak will be available on the O2 network in the U.K, pricing and data plans will be revealed soon.
Dell Streak is an Android Froyo 2.2 based tablet with a 5-inch screen, and has 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as well as GPS, much like most other Android devices, and of course the goodies on Android Froyo namely tethering,Flash 10.1, Wi-Fi hotspots will be available . Its runs on the same processor which powers Google Nexus One, the now-familiar 1GHz Snapdragon processor , and will offer memory expansion of upto 48GB through a microSD slot with 16 GB internal memory as well.
