ADP1 - Android Market

Google has given a face lift and updated the layout and look to its Android Market website which  is a marketplace for Android developers to sell applications developed for phones running Android OS .

Cosmetically, it’s a tad better than what it use to be , but it still looks very sparse and hideous  in comparison to Apple’s iTunes.

Search option is still conspicuous by its absence, apps are still not downloadable  over-the-air, a most recent apps category and app statistics continue to be missing.

On the positive side, the new version will allow visitors to browse apps by select sections including featured, top free and top paid. browsing  this way is actually quite smooth. You can click on an app icon from the left and you will be give a  description for that app on the right hand side. That description includes goodies such as a title, link to the developers website and description as well as a few screenshots.
