Spotify for Android gets an update

Spotify, the hugely popular peer-to-peer music streaming service which has recently opened the doors wider to the free service has updated its app for Android Mobile OS, the latest version 0.4.04 went functional yesterday afternoon. Spotify’s iPhone app also was updated recently.

Andres Sehr, Marketing and Communications Manager, Spotify, wrote on its website. “This update brings a number of the great social and local file features we’ve recently launched to your mobile phone so that you can take the full Spotify experience with you on the road.”

The update bought to the Android app a number of the social and music player features of Spotify.New to the app is the ability to play and wirelessly sync music files stored locally on your PC to your phone, Last.fm scrobbling, the option to filter for tracks in playlists and support for Spotify’s “Inbox, Feed and Starred features” .
