After HP’s acquisition of Palm couple of months ago, there were rumors and speculation that Palm, which came into prominence for its PDAs and handhelds may not make new hardware. The rumors were quashed at an AT&T developers seminar where a Palm spokesperson divulged that there will be more devices arriving over the year and will be follow-ups to its smartphones Pre Plus and Pixi Plus.
It was also confirmed by the same person that Palm is working on a new version of the webOS operating system. “I’m not allowed to talk about future roadmaps, especially because we’re in the process of being acquired by HP, so I can’t say. But yes we have a road map. We are working on future devices. And a new version of the OS. So I think, you’re going to find the next year very exciting.” said the Palm employee.
