Steve Jobs solution to consumers – who complained about iPhone 4’s network interference – to hold the gadget in a different way hasn’t gone down well with UK early customers of Apple’s iPhone 4.
According to a survey by rightmobilephone of more than 800 Apple iPhone 4 users, 93% of owners claimed to have already been affected by a loss of signal whilst using the handset to make calls, whilst 78% of owners called the fault ‘an insult’.
63% of respondents said they were particularly angered by Steve Jobs’ alleged email response, where he answered a question by an iPhone 4 handset owner about the issue with the response, ‘avoid holding [the phone] in that way’. 89% say they begrudge paying more for a ‘Bumper’ case, priced at £25, which appears to prevent the loss of signal by offering insulation to the handset’s signal receivers.
