Google announced the launch of cloud-based YouTube Video Editor which is a basic video-editing system for the world’s largest video sharing website, through this feature you can edit your videos inside YouTube itself.
Apart from making it makes it easier to edit videos uploaded to YouTube, Google takes another shot at Microsoft’s Windows Movie Maker, which is one of the most popular video editors around for basic editing which and comes pre-loaded with Windows OS. The YouTube editor in its current form isnt a match for Adobe Systems’ Premiere Pro or Apple’s Final Cut Pro but is useful for basic editing.
YouTube Video Editor is available on TestTube, YouTube’s ideas incubator. Users do not require any additional software on their computers to use the tool. The tool currently offers only basic video editing features. Users can trim videos, merge multiple videos and add soundtracks. YouTube says it intends to add more features based on user feedback.
