Apple is  used to getting acclaim and accolades for all the iPhone series launches  since Apple iPhone debuted in 2007, this time around Apple and its mobile carrier in U.S. AT & T is in for a rude shock. Apple Inc.  and AT&T Inc  faces a number of lawsuits over reports of reception and signal problems found in the iPhone 4’s new wraparound antenna, with consumers accusing both companies of knowingly selling a defective product.

An AT&T spokesman declined to comment. An Apple spokesman said the company doesn’t discuss pending litigation. The problem adds to the woes of  Apple and AT&T, which is already battling the perception of an inferior network to its competitors. A number of lawsuits have been filed over the antenna issue.
