Apple’s new Magic Trackpad – enchanting enough ?

Apple’s Magic Trackpad

Apple’s Magic Trackpad

Apple has launched the software updates required to welcome Magic Trackpad with the  release of  new drivers for the Magic Trackpad, in both OS X and Windows versions. The initial reviews on the internet have been largely positive. The Magic Trackpad is larger, wireless, multi-touch, buttonless, and more stylish, with a familiar experience – It feels just like using a slightly larger version of a MacBook  pad.

Will a majority  of iMac and Mac Pro owners chuck their mouse and go for the larger trackpad (80 percent more surface area) is to be seen.  Magic Trackpad makes a lot of sense with regard to the overall trend of where Apple is heading. The company has turned into a mobile devices company, a big part of that are  the iPhone and now iPad are  completely multi-touch-based without a mouse.

Magic Trackpad could be a game changer like the iPhone and could be a mouse-killer, with the mouse becoming a precision tool that professions such as designers use or it could come out unscathed by another challenger to the throne.
