Rumors about Blackberry makers RIM (Research In Motion) coming out with a touch-screen tablet similar to Apple’s iPad got more credibility when RIM registered blackpad.com.
The latest on Blackpad comes through two anonymous sources saying RIM’s Blackpad is coming by November– and it’s coming to take on Apple’s iPad. The new device will run the as-yet-unreleased BlackBerry OS 6. Besides, RIM is taking this step so as to stop Apple from taking away its market share. Of late the company’s mobile market share has declined. It would be interesting to see how far RIM succeeds in keeping Apple away. Experts are of the opinion that it could be only done if RIM churns out far superior gadget than Apple’s.
