After Samsung announces Windows 8 based Series 7 and Series 5 tablets at IFA in Berlin, Asus, DELL and HP came up with their next generation windows powered tablets and laptops.
HP on Thursday unveiled three new Windows 8 machines HP ENVY x2, HP SpectreXT Ultrabook and HP ENVY TouchSmart Ultrabook. HP ENVY x2 is a hybrid notebook made of aluminum, it sports 11.6-inch Windows 8 Pro tablet connected to a base with a full-sized keyboard, additional features include Beats Audio, integrated NFC, stylus input support, a high-definition front-facing webcam for video chats, an 8-megapixel rear camera and an Intel Clover Trail processor.
HP ENVY TouchSmart Ultrabook 4 is a 14-inch multitouch HD display which weighs just 4.77 pounds ,key features include new Intel Core processor options, a backlit keyboard, Beats Audio and an optional AMD graphics card with 2GB of dedicated graphics memory.
The next in line is the HP Spectre XT TouchSmart Ultrabook is a high end notebook PC flaunting a 15.6-inch diagonal multitouch Radiance Full HD(2) display with IPS technology, it features a gorgeous metal case that is just 17.9 millimeters thick, USB 3.0 and HDMI-out ports, a Thunderbolt port and solid battery life, all in a package that weighs just 4.77 pounds.
Dell’s first foray into the Windows RT tablet market is with Dell XPS Duo 12, a tablet-ultrabook hybrid and Dell XPS 10. XPS Duo 12 is a 12-inch device with a full HD (1920×1080) display and a flip hinge that switches it from tablet to ultrabook and back. Dell XPS 10 is powered by an ARM processor with a HD touch screen, microUSB connector, microSD slot and a removable keyboard dock. Dell did not provide a price or availability date for either device.
