Twitter is abuzz with reports and retweets that Apple’s iMessage may be experiencing outages. Apple’s system status shows no signs of an outage, however the steady stream of users on Twitter reporting  disruptions in service continues.

“Retweet if your iMessage is not working,” @dreamchaserzeek tweeted Monday. The status update was re-tweeted over 1100 times at the last count.

“While the exact problem is currently unknown, it appears to be originating at Apple’s servers as some users claim wireless provider-based SMS text messages are going through without issue. No effective workarounds have been found thus far, and Apple has yet to comment on the matter.” says Apple Insider.
