The UK’s Court of Appeal has upheld UK High Court’s ruling that Samsung did not copy the iPad with its Galaxy tablet. Britain’s High Court ruled in favor of Samsung, explaining that Samsung’s Galaxy tablet, although Samsung’s products were “very, very similar”, they are simply “not as cool” as the iPad, and can therefore not be confused with Apple’s tablet.
The ruling, which instructed Apple to run ads in printed newspapers and on websites stating that Samsung did not copy the iPad. The court’s ruling is valid throughout Europe, not only in the UK.
