A U.S. Court has directed Apple to share full details of the 10-year settlement it struck with HTC recently. Apple had previously provided Samsung with a heavily redacted version of the deal’s terms that removes 33 words from the Apple and HTC settlement on November 10, agreeing a 10-year licensing deal — the terms of which have not been publicly disclosed.
The cropped version of the Apple-HTC settlement fails to show the financial details of the agreement which is presumably the most critical part of it as far as Samsung is concerned.
Samsung will be hoping the Apple-HTC licensing deal provides it with information it can use as a shield against a permanent sales ban being sought by Apple against its products.
