Google said on Monday that a Wisconsin, US federal court has thrown out a lawsuit brought by Apple against Motorola Mobility, now owned by Google.
Apple has complained that Motorola is seeking unreasonably high license fees for the use of patents on wireless technology. Apple claimed that Motorola was seeking a license fee of 2.25 percent of the price of devices that infringe on Motorola’s patents, including the iPhone and iPod Touch.
“Motorola has long offered licensing to our extensive patent portfolio at a reasonable and non-discriminatory rate in line with industry standards,” Google said in its statement. “We remain interested in reaching an agreement with Apple.”
