Google Maps app for the iPhone made a reappearance in the App Store earlier on Thursday morning U.K. time and was greeted positively by Apple device users going by the number of downloads and reviews on Internet.Google Maps for iOS  became the most downloaded free app in the Apple App Store.
” Better than apple maps –     I almost died in Australia, thank god this is out. ” was a gleeful comment by a user.

“Thank you Google! – The app looks wonderful. It’s easy to navigate and has a very clean interface. One major thing I don’t like is having to sign into a Google account in order to bookmark places. I know this isn’t a technical limitation since other apps can do this without signing in/up for something.” wrote another iOS user.
