Facebook’s highly anticipated and discussed press event on Tuesday saw Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, announce Graph Search, its latest product.The new search tools that will let Facebook’s  1 billion users search the social network for information about people, photos, places and other interests.

“Web search is designed to take any open-ended query and give you links that might have answers.” Linking things together based on things that you’re interested in is a “very hard technical problem,” said Mark Zuckerberg.

Facebook also announced a closer partnership with Microsoft’s Bing search engine, which will provide search results from the web to augment searches on Facebook.
