Apple maybe planning to introduce a smaller Apple TV according to some FCC documents first spotted by Engadget,  which reveals that Apple has been working on an updated Apple TV device with a slightly smaller casing. 5 millimeters smaller (0.2”) on each side.

This news will come up as a disappointment to anyone who has been hoping for a full-blown Apple TV set. Apple likely accomplished the shrinkage with new hardware including the Broadcom BCM4334 Wireless chip that also  can also pick up FM radio.
