EU Competition Regulators Seeking More Concessions from Google In Anti Trust Probe

GoogleThe European Commission is planning to ask Google to make more concessions to their proposed changes to Google’s search services to  allay its concerns about the internet giant’s search and advertising practices to end its three-year anti trust investigation according to Reuters.

European Competition Commissioner Joaquin Almunia addressed the European parliament on Tuesday and said that Google’s proposed changes to its search are not good enough, and that it’s unlikely to signal an end to the EC’s ongoing probe into the firm. Google revealed its proposed changes to its search in April. These changes included displaying links to three rival specialised search services, separating promoted links from search results and offering all websites the option to opt-out from making their content available in Google’s specialised search services.

“After, we will analyse the responses received, we will probably ask Google, 100 percent, you should improve your proposals.” he said.
