The Nexus 7 launch also saw Android Jelly Bean getting a bump to version 4.3. Android 4.3 look and feel are not much different than it’s predecessor, the home screen, app drawer Google Now, and Notifications all looks familiar.
The most important addition to Android 4.3 is the Multi-User Restricted Profiles feature, which lets the primary user control the usage of apps and other content of other users. “Parents can have peace of mind about which family members can access what content and which apps,” Google’s Hugo Barra said. Android 4.3 adds support for Bluetooth Smart accessories like heart rate monitors and many others.
Other small tweaks include faster user switching, an auto-complete dial pad, new language support for Africaans, Amharic, Hindi, Swahili and Zulu.
