The Asus Eee PC 1005PE marks the beginning of a new era for Asus. It is the first netbook from Asus to run on the next generation Intel Pine Trail platform. It runs on an Intel Atom 450 processor and Intel GMA 3150 integrated graphics.
The first thing that stands out for Asus Eee PC 1005PE is its very impressive battery life. The battery life is an amazing 14 hours which beats all competitor models by a fair distance. As far as looks and styling goes, it’s virtually impossible to distinguish it from Asus Eee PC 1005HA. A quick word on the specs – 10.1” Diagonal WSVGA, Intel Atom N450 1.66 GHz Processor, 1 GB DDR2 SD RAM, 250 GB HDD, WiFi, Bluetooth and a 4 in 1 media card slot.
Unfortunately, the Pine Trail performance of the Asus Eee PC 1005PE isn’t something that will blow you away. If you’ve been considering buying it for better performance and optimized graphics, think of other good reasons on why you should buy it.
For a start, a launch price of £299 from LaptopsDirect.co.uk should be a great reason to go ahead and buy this netbook!
