Spotify, the hugely popular peer-to-peer music streaming service has started two new services – a paid and a free one.
Last August Spotify’s free service was closed to new free listeners in the UK , and was turned into an invitation only service, and the waiting list is supposed to be many weeks. The new service Spotify Open is definite music to Spotify’s fans ears.
Spotify Open offers new Spotify users the chance to try out the service without the need for an invite, giving access to thousands of tracks for up to 20 hours every month which comes to around 300 tracks every month. Needless to add that, you’ll hear ads on this package.
The other new service – Spotify Unlimited, offers unlimited ad-free streams for £4.99 a month. The £9.99 Premium subscription, which adds offline access on up to three computers or phones, remains unchanged.
