Twitter will be enabling Push Notifications service soon for iPhone and iPad. Twitter’s official iPad app, which launched a couple of days ago to and was embraced positively. Twitter’a app for iPhone, formerly known as Tweetie, has been around for the past few months, it has the crown for for the most-used Twitter interfaces with 8% of all users of Twitter accessing the app via Twitter for iPhone.
“When we launched Twitter for iPad, there was a configuration error that caused us to offer push messages to a small set of users,” said a Twitter spokesperson in an email to a tech blog. “We’ve stopped sending push messages, but users may see an option to turn on push until we release an updated version of the app.”
