If you had planned on buying a 16GB Nexus 7 but have not already, there is some bad news for you – It’s sold out.  Google is no longer taking orders for the £199 model.  The page for the 16GB version Google Play displays a “coming soon” message, Interested customers can register to be notified via email when the model becomes available once again.

Nexus 7 which is built by Asus  went on sale to great acclaim last week, it debuted to rave reviews and was expected to sell strongly, nevertheless, Google may not have not anticipated  an overwhelming demand for the 16 GB device,  the shortage for this particular version is not limited to the UK , Google US Play store too had the  ‘coming soon’ message.

The 8GB model, which costs £159, and is only available through Google Play Store is shown as “in stock” and being delivered in 3-5 business days.
