Facebook announced in August that it would be giving Facebook Messages a whole new look, but didn’t commit on any roll out dates, Interactive Swim, a digital firm posted a picture on its Facebook Page, the image showed the welcome note for the updated Messages which recently hit its page, indicating that the feature may be starting to roll out to additional users.
Interactive Swim wrote “A new Facebook messaging platform is on the way! Not fully rolled out, we’re special and part of the early release, so here are some details for you. It allows you message anyone in your life (not just FB users) add multiple pictures and emoticons to your messages, and search specific keywords to find recent convos. Look for it to head your way soon.”
The newer Messages interface has a new side-by-side layout to messages, allowing users to see their most recent conversations on the left side of the screen and see a whole conversation on the right. It also allows insertion of photos and emoticons into messages.
