YouTube  one of the most visited website in the world turns eight years old today, YouTube was  launched back in 2005 and were among the first website to offer streaming video, Google marked YouTube’s eight year anniversary by sharing the statistic that it is now seeing more than 100 hours of video uploaded every minute.

“Today, more than 100 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute. That’s more than four days of video uploaded each minute! Every month, more than 1 billion people come to YouTube to access news, answer questions and have a little fun. That’s almost one out of every two people on the Internet.” said the official  blog post.

“Over the years, you’ve continued to surprise and delight us. And the past year was no exception. Who would have guessed that a tux-rocking K-pop star would shatter records left and right or that Sesame Street would go global with 1 billion views? That’s one of our favorite things about our global audience: you’re as unpredictable as you are creative and irreverent.” it added.
