HTC Butterfly carries the now almost standard 5-inch 1080p display, which is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, the same one which is found in HTC One. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD.
Operating System is the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system skinned with HTC Sense 5. The surface is scratch resistant glass with a 4 megapixel “UltraPixel” camera in the back with a single LED flash bulb, front-facing camera carries a 2.1 megapixel camera.
“We’ve upgraded the popular HTC Butterfly to reflect the new standards set by the HTC One for smartphone performance.” said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation. “The HTC Butterfly changed the way people looked at a smartphone thanks to the world’s first full HD 1080p, 5-inch screen and that complete viewing experience has been taken to the next level with HTC BlinkFeed. HTC BoomSound and HTC Zoe integration also make the experience of the HTC Butterfly S unlike that of any other 5-inch device.”
