NetNewsWire  which was introduced in 2002 and  is probably the oldest news reader still under development  has got a beta release for OSX, while in beta it’s available as a free download, it will cost $20 when releases go out of beta,  the iPad and iPhone versions are still under development.

Aol, Feedly, Rockmelt and numerous others have joined the RSS bandwagon since Google announced plans to shut down its popular Reader service on June 30.
