Unable to find your Android phone?, Google is giving you an app to locate your phone. Google has announced that it will launch Android Device Manager, a device location and security service app for Android phones and tablets in the next few weeks, this feature was on the wishlist of many Android users who had to rely on third party apps like Where’s My Droid or Lookout Security & Antivirus.
Android product manager Benjamin Poiesz gave details on a blog post.Android Device Manager will let users locate and ring their device, by turning the volume up to maximum, even if the ringer is off and will let you locate the phone or tablet on a map in real time. It will also have a feature to wipe data from a device If it’s been stolen.
Android Device Manager uses your Google account to sign in to the service, Google showed off a screenshot of a browser based interface, the company promised that “there will also be an Android app to allow you to easily find and manage your devices.”
