Microsoft has began sending Windows 8.1 OS update to OEMs around the world this week according to various reports. Microsoft is keeping it’s cards close to it’s chest to avoid leaks related to Windows 8.1.
Microsoft is expected to make an announcement publicly to reveal it has finalized Windows 8.1 next week. Windows 8.1 will be pre-installed on various models of desktops and laptops which are due to be released on October 18th. Traditionally, Microsoft releases a new build of Windows to its TechEd and MSDN partners soon after RTM, but this time around things could change as the build could be held back till October when the OS hits general availability.
