Facebook today announced an update to Facebook for iOS and Android that lets the mobile users discover new places their friends like, with this revamp Facebook seems to be getting ready to compete even more closely with Foursquare and Yelp.

Twitter and it’s subsidiary Tweetdeck faces a fine of £375 after failing to file its latest company accounts on time. The company was due to lodge its annual accounts no later than September, but has still not done so, according to Companies House.

U.S. District Court Judge Lucy Koh who ruled in Apple-Samsung case said that while details of pricing and royalty rates for patents from Apple-HTC settlement should be kept under wraps from public view, the same does not hold true for the rest of the agreement.

Apple had announced during at the iPhone 5 special announcement event in September that it will be releasing iTunes 11 soon, after few weeks of delay September, iTunes 11 was officially launched by Apple to the public today.
Apple has worked towards getting rid of the additional clutter. They have removed the the sidebar, the store window, lists of playlists and other extraneous information.

The Apple-Samsung court room battles continue. A Netherlands court has ordered Samsung Electronics to pay Apple damages after it ruled on Wednesday that some of Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets infringe an Apple patent relating to Android operating system versions 2.2.1 to 3.0 used on Samsung’s mobile devices.
