Facebook has introduced a platform called Developer Alerts for developers which will allow developers to get alerts when Facebook makes platform changes that could impact their apps. Facebook will communicate via Facebook notifications and email for those listed as administrators or developers of apps.

Facebook has launched its new mobile Share button on Android, iOS and mobile web. The button has been rumored for some time .
Facebook’s Aditya Koolwal says that the Share button “gives people a fast way to share stories with friends from their mobile phones, just as they can from their computers.”

Pinterest, the current social media rage which lets users collect and share images is now allowing businesses and corporations to create official accounts, businesses can officially link their websites so they are listed on their Pinterest profiles. Google has redesigned its search results. According to Google Search blog, the removal of the left hand sidebar is an attempt “to create a consistent search experience across the wide variety of devices and screen sizes people use today.”

Gmail is soon debuting a cooler new way to compose messages in Gmail through a popup window instead of loading a whole new “compose” page. The window will not be a new browser window, but rather an overlay on the Gmail page similar to a Gmail chat window, though the compose version is a bit bigger than the chat window.

Facebook posting $1.26 billion in revenues for its third quarter against the analyst estimate of $1.23 billion, earnings per share for the company, meanwhile, came in at $.12 compared to an estimate of $.11.
