Apple recent Mac update for OS X Lion and Mountain Lion released this week removes its Java plugin from all OS X browsers.
Apple’s support page provides more details :
“This release updates the Apple-provided system Java SE 6 to version 1.6.0_37 and is for OS X versions 10.7 or later.

Notwithstanding , the questions about its price, Microsoft’s Surface tablets first day pre-orders for the base model are already sold out. Microsoft has confirmed it by pushing the delivery date to ‘ within 3 weeks’ on its US online store, other models are available for ‘delivery by 10/26’.

Microsoft is launching Xbox Music, a new music service for the Xbox 360, Windows 8, and Windows Phone, Xbox 360 consoles will be the first to get the service starting tomorrow, it will be rolled out to Windows 8 and Windows RT computers starting on 26 October, the same day it launches its Windows 8 operating system.

Facebook stocked opened at US $19.93 a share on Wednesday and saw a low of US $19.45 after a report about Facebook resisting attempts by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to disclose more about the advertising revenues from mobile.

Amazon has introduced its Cloud Player media service in the UK, France and Germany. Amazon Cloud Player scans users Music Player libraries and and stores their MP3s with high quality 256 kbps copies on Amazon’s servers.
All Amazon MP3 purchases are automatically saved to Cloud Player for free. Customers can store up to 250 tracks for free not including the Amazon purchased MP3s.

After GoDaddy’s massive Monday outage which had hit thousands of websites hosted on GoDaddy.com started at around 1 PM US EST and continued until 7 PM EST, Go Daddy attributed it to internal problems, not a DDoS attack by hackers.
