Google has announced application sign-in and some other related enhancements for Google+. It is similar to logging on to websites with your Facebook and Twitter IDs. Google seems to have arrived late to the game.

Yahoo.com is starting to roll out a new front page, the redesigned homepage was announced in a blog post by Yahoo’s CEO Marissa Mayer.
The new look has been described as being ‘more intuitive and personal’. Yahoo expects to roll out this revamped homepage in the US over the next few days. The UK availability has not been yet announced.

Microsoft is testing video message feature on Skype. Skype users in the UK and US using the iOS, Android, and OSX apps can now send video messages up to three minutes long to each other.
Strangely Skype Video Messages won’t immediately come to Windows Phone or Windows 8. Video messages sent to Windows users will send a link to the user where they can watch the video online.

Google has purchased Channel Intelligence which according to its blog, “tracks online retail sales for a number of categories ranging from computing to consumer packaged goods”. The deal is worth U.S. $125 million in cash.
