The AntiSec hacker group claimed that it has more than 12 million Apple iOS Unique Device IDs, as well as other personal info from Apple device owners from a laptop of an FBI staffer. It has released 1,000,001 UDIDs. Tthe FBI issued a statement to AllThingsD that refutes the claim.

Apple has made available OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 pre-release version to developers hours after pushing out the 10.8.1 update for Mountain Lion users. Most of the improvements in 10.8.1 addressed specific use cases, such as audio output from a Thunderbolt Display or crashes in Migration Assistant.

Apple’s shares rose to a record high on Friday and the company’s market value surpassed US $600 billion as investors look forward to the launch of a new iPhone and possibly a smaller iPad, as well as a new television product.

A major security flaw in iOS that allows for spoofing of SMS messages has been discovered by security researcher Pod2g which allow malicious texters to spoof SMS messages and make them appear to come from other person’s mobile phone, potentially getting users to reveal information they normally would not, or rack up inadvertent charges on their bill.
