Apple iOS 4.2 beta made available to developers signed on to its development program. iOS 4.2 is suppose to add a number of features, especially for the iPad, in the form of multi-tasking, AirPlay, folder organization, the ability to print from your iPad and more.

In a message posted to its website on Friday, Apple updated its iPhone case program webpage and announced that the program will officially be coming to an end on September 30. Bad news for all the iPhone 3G owners who were looking forward to Game Center, Apple’s social and gaming networking application, which is included with iOS 4.1. Apple has confirmed that Game Center will work on the second-generation iPod touch, but not on the iPhone 3G.

Facebook has reportedly pulled the plug on using the ‘Facebook Connect’ on iTunes Ping by turning off Apple’s access to its Facebook Connect API, as an agreement between Apple and Facebook couldn’t be reached, prompting Facebook to cut off access.
