China has categorically denied any state involvement in Operation Aurora, the series of cyber attacks that rocked Google and several other technology companies earlier this year. The verdict is out – google (mind the lower case), my personal choice for company of the decade has been named as ‘Word of the Decade’ by the American Dialect Society.
The lower case implies that the word means an internet search and does not refer to the name of the company. Tweet received the ‘Word of the Year’ award for 2009 but was no match up to Google in the Word of the Decade category. [...]
