Bad news for all the iPhone 3G owners who were looking forward to Game Center, Apple’s social and gaming networking application, which is included with iOS 4.1. Apple has confirmed that Game Center will work on the second-generation iPod touch, but not on the iPhone 3G.

Give way, iPhones and BlackBerrys, smartphone customers in U.S. have voted with their wallets and picked Android as their favorite in the second quarter of this year according to NPD , a market research company.
