A major security vulnerability has been discovered in Java 7 security making billions of computers susceptible to a serious flaw. The threat is serious enough that the US Department of Homeland Security has warned users to disable or uninstall Java software on their computers, ZDNet informs.
The zero-day flaw affects not only the Java 7 plug-in, but all versions of the java plugin for web browsers. [...]

Apple recent Mac update for OS X Lion and Mountain Lion released this week removes its Java plugin from all OS X browsers.
Apple’s support page provides more details :
“This release updates the Apple-provided system Java SE 6 to version 1.6.0_37 and is for OS X versions 10.7 or later.

Social-networking site Facebook joins the list of companies realizing the potential of Google’s Android mobile OS and embracing it. Facebook which already has a SDK (Software Development Kit) for iPhone has launched the official Facebook Software Development Kit for Android, the SDK was demoed at Google’s conference in San Francisco last week.(http://code.google.com/p/fbconnect-android/).
