U.S. judge Paul S. Grewal ruled that Apple cannot add Samsung’s Galaxy S4 smartphone to a list of products it claims infringe on its patents on Thursday according to Bloomberg.

World’s largest phone maker Samsung announced on Monday that it would stop making desktop PCs because of abysmal demand and fast shrinking profits and instead focus on tablets and laptops. “Demand for conventional desktop PCs is going down,” a Samsung official told The Korea Times. “We will allocate our resources to popular connected and portable devices.”

South Korean giant Samsung has bought a 10 percent stake in rival and South Korea’s third largest mobile phone company Pantech according to reports by TheNextWeb .
The purchase was done for a reported sum of 53 billion won or $48 million, Pantech is also Samsung’s component customer, this deal will solidify the relationship between the South Korean companies and help joint research and development.

Apple had requested California courts dealing with the patent cases permission to add Samsung Galaxy S4 as an infringing device in its ongoing patent battle with Samsung.

Samsung is going bigger than the 5.55-inch Galaxy Note II for folks who may think that Galaxy Note is not a big enough phablet with two new smartphones with 5.8-inch and 6.3-inch screens. The two phones will be called the Galaxy Mega 5.8 and the Galaxy Mega 6.3.

Samsung and Mozilla announced plans today to jointly develop a web browser engine called “Servo” which will be designed for Android and the ARM architecture.
