Microsoft announced integrating Skype into it’s web based email service, Outlook.com in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Germany, Brazil, and France which according to Microsoft has more than 400 million active accounts. Microsoft has on Monday launched Skype video calling features for Outlook.com, which allows users to make video calls directly from their Browsers. Users here in the UK will be the first to recieve the feature. The roll out will start in the UK today, followed by US and Germany availability in the “coming weeks,” and worldwide support by the summer.

Microsoft is testing video message feature on Skype. Skype users in the UK and US using the iOS, Android, and OSX apps can now send video messages up to three minutes long to each other.
Strangely Skype Video Messages won’t immediately come to Windows Phone or Windows 8. Video messages sent to Windows users will send a link to the user where they can watch the video online.

Skype released version 5.11 for Windows which allows Skype sign in with Microsoft and Facebook accounts. Skype users can send and receive IM messages from friends who are using Messenger, Xbox, Hotmail or Outlook.com. Other goodies include :
