An online report had claimed that Facebook could be working on a phone of its own to compete in the fiercely competitive and lucrative Smartphone sector. Facebook was prompt is dismissing the report.

Social-networking site Facebook joins the list of companies realizing the potential of Google’s Android mobile OS and embracing it. While all the media attention has been focused on the launch of Apple Tablet – The iPad, the company has silently chosen to remove the restriction of making Video VoIP calls over 3G networks on the iPhone. Apple has also changed the iPhone SDK to reflect that this restriction has been removed.
