Amazon has announced ‘Kindle for the Web’ beta, which allows book samples and snippets to be read directly from a web browser without any Kindle software.

Older version of Yahoo Mail
Yahoo has announced the launch of a cleaner, faster and more social version of Yahoo Mail. Blake Irving, Yahoo’s executive vice president and chief products officer, launched the new design at Yahoo’s headquarters here during an event called “Product Runway.”

Apple
Apple iOS 4.2 beta made available to developers signed on to its development program. iOS 4.2 is suppose to add a number of features, especially for the iPad, in the form of multi-tasking, AirPlay, folder organization, the ability to print from your iPad and more.

IE 9
Microsoft’s is all geared up to release Internet Explorer 9, the new version of Internet Explorer browser to all and sundry today. IE9 Beta is reported to be a beta that’s technically complete, so we shouldn’t have much to fear when the download is available later today. We are waiting to see how it will stand up to Firefox 4.0 which is also in beta.

Palm has released Facebook for Palm webOS 1.3, the release includes dozens of new features and enhancements, many of which were prompted or refined based on the user feedback.
