Twitter’s new video sharing platform, Vine is causing the company some embarassment, some people have been using it for porn ads and naked images. By searching for the tags “#porn” or similar NSFW words, you can find content featuring exhibitionists of various stripes as well as porn video taken directly from laptop screens.

Twitter may not have reached Facebook’s landmark of a Billion users, but, it’s growing at a steady pace, the popular micro-blogging service now has more than 200 million active users around the world, with some 10 million of those in the UK.

Twitter’s CEO Dick Costolo announced a re-design, with the option to include a large header photo across the top of Twitter user profile pages few weeks ago. Starting on December 12,all Twitter users will be forced over to use the “cover photo”, ala Facebook and other services.

Twitter and it’s subsidiary Tweetdeck faces a fine of £375 after failing to file its latest company accounts on time. The company was due to lodge its annual accounts no later than September, but has still not done so, according to Companies House.

Close on the heels of Facebook’s new mobile share button, Twitter has today added an option to “Share this tweet via email” so you can send content to recipients via email.
Sharing via email button appears in the ‘more’ menu alongside reply, favorite, and retweet. It could be a powerful way to spread the service and convince new people to sign up. It’s rolling out over the next few days. [...]

If you believed that Twitter’s popularity was waning down, you may be just right – Facebook’s owned Instagram had garnered more app users attention than Twitter.
