The twitter bug just refuses to die down. The retweet.com domain which put itself up for sale last month has fetched a massive price of $250,000 in an online auction on Flippa. The sale was hotly contested with as many as 45 bids being placed for retweet.com and the eventual winner outscoring others by shelling out $48,000 more than any other bidder.

An Italian court has convicted three Google Inc. executives on Wednesday for being criminally responsible for a video showing an autistic teenager being bullied. Though they can appeal against the verdict, the case highlights the broader problem related to Internet freedom. Google has responded strongly to the verdict saying that if the verdict stands, ‘The web as we know will cease to exist’.

Web startup 12seconds caused a bit of a stir last year when they launched a cool (but gimmicky) video service. The idea was that people record 12 second video clips directly on their site (via Flash). There 12second clips could then be commented on by other people, and submitted like an RSS feed to Twitter, your blog and all the usual social media links.
