Tumblr is famously known for animated gifs and nsfw posts, since Yahoo’s acquisition rumours started last week, analysts have been predicting user discontent and crackdown on nasty posts. Even before the news became official on Monday, 72,000 users migrated from Tumblr to WordPress according to WordPress’s founder Matt Mullenweg’s blog post.

Sporkings have been trialling WordPress 2.8 beta recently and we have to say we Love it! One of the best things to come out of this release is the editor for themes and plugins, see screenshot, this is what an editor should look like!
